What is Okinawa? (Culture, climate, features)

Okinawa, Japan’s southernmost prefecture, is a group of islands that once nurtured a unique culture and history as the Ryukyu Kingdom.
Therefore, even though it is in Japan, it has an exotic atmosphere and a unique traditional performing arts, dialect, and gastronomic culture.
The climate is subtropical and maritime, warm throughout the year, with temperatures rarely falling below 10°C even in midwinter.
The average annual temperature is about 23.1°C. From May to September, the area is characterized by a rainy season and typhoons that bring a lot of rain.
Surrounded by the blue sea and sky characteristic of a tropical country, the climate is warm even in winter, with cherry blossoms blooming in January.
