How to get to Kouri Ocean Tower
The Kouri Ocean Tower is usually accessed mainly by car, but detailed routes and points of interest are described below.
Access from Naha Airport
- Access by car:
- From Naha Airport, take the Okinawa Expressway to the north.
- Exit the highway at the Kyoda IC of the Okinawa Expressway and enter Route 58.
- Take Route 58 north and turn left onto Route 449 at the junction to Route 449 in Nago City.
- Take National Route 449 and follow the directions for the Kouri Bridge to Kouri Island.
- After crossing the Kouri Bridge, follow the signs to the Kouri Ocean Tower.
- Please allow approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours for the entire tour.
- Public transportation:
- Currently, there is no public bus service directly to Kouri Island.
- You can take a public bus to the nearest bus stop and then take a cab to Kouri Ocean Tower. However, due to the high cost of taking a cab from Nago City, it is recommended to use a rental car.
When using a rental car
There are numerous car rental companies located at Naha Airport and in Nago City.
Renting a car is the best way to increase the freedom of your Okinawa trip and explore the beautiful spots around Kouri Island. You can book online prior to your visit or at the rental car counter at the airport.
